5. Research Use Only Policy

5.1 Purpose

This Research Use Only Policy establishes the conditions under which TSMS Labs products may be purchased, possessed, handled, transferred, stored, and used.

This Policy applies to all compounds, peptides, analytical materials, reference materials, chemicals, and related products offered by TSMS Labs.

5.2 Research Use Only Designation

All TSMS Labs products are sold exclusively for:

• Laboratory research;
• Analytical testing;
• Method development;
• Chemical characterization;
• In vitro research;
• Instrument calibration;
• Reference or comparative analysis;
• Educational laboratory work; or
• Other lawful nonclinical research activities.

Products are not medicines, drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, foods, or medical devices.

Products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or health condition.

5.3 Strictly Prohibited Uses

TSMS Labs products must not be:

• Consumed by humans;
• Administered to humans;
• Administered to animals;
• Injected;
• Ingested;
• Inhaled;
• Implanted;
• Applied topically for cosmetic, therapeutic, or personal purposes;
• Used in clinical trials without all legally required authorizations;
• Used for self-experimentation;
• Used for bodybuilding, weight loss, performance enhancement, anti-aging, wellness, or other personal purposes;
• Marketed or represented as intended for human or veterinary use;
• Compounded into preparations intended for administration;
• Added to food, beverages, cosmetics, supplements, or consumer products;
• Transferred to minors;
• Resold through marketplaces or channels that misrepresent their intended use; or
• Used in violation of applicable law, regulation, institutional policy, or professional standards.

Statements made by customers, third parties, online communities, or independent content creators do not alter the products’ research-use-only status.

5.4 Purchaser Certification

By completing a purchase, the purchaser certifies that:

1. The purchaser is at least 21 years old.
2. The purchase is for legitimate research use only.
3. No product will be used on or administered to a human or animal.
4. The purchaser has sufficient technical knowledge to handle the materials.
5. The purchaser has access to appropriate facilities, equipment, storage, ventilation, containment, and personal protective equipment.
6. The purchaser will review all available product information before handling.
7. The purchaser will comply with all applicable laws and institutional requirements.
8. The purchaser will not make medical, therapeutic, or performance claims concerning the products.
9. The purchaser will not transfer a product to anyone whom the purchaser knows or reasonably suspects will use it improperly.
10. The purchaser assumes responsibility for lawful acquisition, possession, handling, use, and disposal.

5.5 Qualified Handling

Products should be handled only by qualified individuals familiar with laboratory chemical safety, hazard assessment, contamination control, appropriate personal protective equipment, storage requirements, spill response, waste disposal, and applicable laboratory procedures.

A purchaser must independently assess the hazards of each material and intended experiment.

The absence of a specific hazard statement does not mean a product is hazard-free.

5.6 Storage

Store products:

• In accordance with the product label and accompanying documentation;
• In a secure area inaccessible to children, unauthorized persons, and animals;
• Under appropriate temperature, light, moisture, and contamination controls;
• In properly labeled containers; and
• Separately from food, beverages, medications, supplements, cosmetics, and household products.

The purchaser is responsible for storage conditions after delivery.

5.7 Reconstitution and Preparation Information

Any educational information concerning laboratory preparation, solubility, dilution, reconstitution, concentration, or handling is provided solely for legitimate laboratory research.

Such information:

• Is not a dosing instruction;
• Is not an administration instruction;
• Is not medical guidance;
• Does not authorize human or animal use; and
• Does not establish suitability for any particular experiment.

Customers are responsible for independently validating calculations, materials, solvents, methods, sterility requirements, and analytical procedures.

5.8 Certificates of Analysis

A Certificate of Analysis relates only to the product and lot identified on that certificate.

A Certificate of Analysis:

• Does not constitute FDA approval;
• Does not establish safety for human or veterinary use;
• Does not convert a research product into a drug, medicine, supplement, cosmetic, or food;
• Does not guarantee performance in every experimental method;
• Does not replace independent quality-control procedures; and
• Must not be altered or used to misrepresent a product.

Customers conducting regulated or publication-grade work should perform independent verification appropriate to their research requirements.

5.9 No Medical Advice

TSMS Labs does not provide:

• Medical advice;
• Diagnosis;
• Treatment recommendations;
• Dosage recommendations;
• Administration protocols;
• Clinical supervision;
• Veterinary advice; or
• Advice concerning personal use.

Customer-service communications are limited to order support, product identification, documentation, shipping, storage information, and general laboratory handling.

Questions concerning personal health, medical treatment, or drug use should be directed to an appropriately licensed healthcare professional. TSMS Labs will not advise customers on the personal use of research products.

5.10 Refusal and Cancellation of Orders

We may refuse, hold, or cancel an order when:

• The customer indicates intended human or veterinary use;
• The customer requests dosage or administration guidance;
• The quantity or purchasing pattern raises legitimate compliance concerns;
• The shipping destination is restricted;
• Purchaser qualifications cannot be reasonably confirmed;
• Fraud or misrepresentation is suspected;
• The order violates a payment-provider or carrier requirement; or
• Fulfillment may violate applicable law or policy.

A canceled paid order will be refunded as appropriate, subject to payment-provider procedures and applicable law.

5.11 Reporting Misuse

Suspected diversion, relabeling, prohibited administration, fraudulent resale, or other misuse may be reported to [email protected].

We may preserve and disclose relevant information to payment providers, carriers, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorized parties when reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

5.12 Resale and Transfer

Products may not be resold, repackaged, relabeled, or redistributed in a manner that:

• Removes or obscures research-use warnings;
• Suggests human or veterinary use;
• Makes therapeutic or medical claims;
• Misrepresents identity, quantity, lot, testing, or origin;
• Violates intellectual-property rights;
• Violates applicable law; or
• Creates a foreseeable risk of prohibited use.

Commercial resale may require prior written authorization from Lore Biosciences LLC.

Authorization, when granted, does not permit alteration or removal of required warnings.

5.13 Disposal

Customers must dispose of unused products, containers, contaminated materials, and laboratory waste in accordance with applicable federal law, state and local requirements, institutional procedures, environmental regulations, and the characteristics of the material.

Products must not be disposed of through ordinary household methods when prohibited or unsafe.

5.14 Assumption of Responsibility

The purchaser assumes responsibility for selecting the material, assessing hazards, designing the research protocol, maintaining laboratory controls, complying with law, preventing unauthorized access, avoiding prohibited use, documenting chain of custody when needed, and proper storage and disposal.

TSMS Labs is not responsible for injury, loss, damage, contamination, regulatory action, or other consequences resulting from misuse, prohibited use, improper storage, improper handling, unauthorized transfer, or failure to follow applicable requirements.

5.15 Policy Enforcement

Violation of this Policy may result in order cancellation, account termination, refusal of future transactions, cancellation of promotional privileges, reporting to payment processors or carriers, preservation of transaction records, legal action, or reporting to appropriate authorities where warranted or required.

5.16 Research Use Only Acknowledgment

The following acknowledgment appears at checkout and must be affirmatively selected before placing an order (the checkbox is not preselected):

I certify that I am at least 21 years old and that all products purchased from TSMS Labs will be used exclusively for lawful laboratory research. I understand that the products are not for human or veterinary consumption, administration, diagnosis, treatment, or other personal use. I agree to the Terms and Conditions and Research Use Only Policy.
